The INTERREG IVA 2 Seas project 'Dignity in Care' was launched on the 24th October 2011 in Moorsele (Flanders). Over a period of 3 years (July 2011 - June 2014) the project will lead to an improvement in the quality of health and social care, specifically to better dignity and patient centred care in the INTERREG IVA 2 "Mers Seas Zeeën" region. To achieve this, partners from Lille, Dorset, Zeeland and Flanders are working together to enhance the ability of ethical reflection and practice by students and professionals in health and social care organizations in the cross-border region through experience based learning at the sTimul: care-ethics lab Moorsele and sTimul: care-ethics lab Terneuzen. The care-ethics lab provides a fully equipped care environment, where health and social care professionals and students can experience for themselves during 2 days and 1 night the impact of care by taking on the role of care receivers. Afterwards they will reflect in groups on their sTimul experiences, coached by an ethicist.
